Thought I’d share with you some products/things I have been enjoying as of late!
- Kat Von D Lock-it Foundation
I’m probably late to loving this! Being as pale as I am, I thought I’d give Kat’s foundation a try since she has a large range of pale colors. I got some samples from Sephora in shades I thought I’d be and it turns out that I’m not even the palest shade (surprise to me). Light 44 Cool looked quite well on me. It actually is slightly warm? I think? On me? But it works well and looks quite natural on me as well I’ve found. At first, I didn’t like it. It’s thick and I was using a brush not mean for it at all. But after applying it a couple times with my fingers, I fell in love. The coverage is incredible! It does take a bit of effort to blend it in well but the end result is always worth it. Very happy with it!
2. Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Brat
I had some money left on an Ulta giftcard and I decided to use it on an UD lipstick (I have one lip pencil in Naked and I absolutely love it). I love pinks so much. I was going to buy the liquid lipstick but Ulta didn’t have any so I just went with the lipstick. It is GORGEOUS. I love the shade of pink it is, so perfect!
3. Steve Laurant Precision Tip Liner
I got this in an Ipsy bag and my gosh, it is smooth and quite precise and wonderful to use! It seems like most liners I’ve used seem to work decently so I’m never that impressed but I had to immediately share with friends how perfect this liner was! I can’t pinpoint what makes it so great, but it’s just easy to use, precise, and beautifully black.
4. Lanolips
My lips always seems flaky or dry so it’s hard for me to wear lipstick often. Usually I’ll just go with a Benefit Tint or a tinted chapstick. I’ve heard that Lanolin is really helpful for lips. I’m skeptical about a lot of chapsticks for having whatever it is in it that makes your lips “addicted” to it. But I’ve heard this is different. So I picked some up from Ulta, it was a bit pricier for “chapstick” at around $15 but wow, it has made a difference! It’s a bit sticky/thick formula so I mostly just put it on at night and when I wake up, my lips have felt soft and hydrated.
5. SO Boots
Moving on from makeup and such, I bought these boots from Kohl’s not too long ago because they looked super cute and they had a flat heel. I’ve been looking for “booties” for a bit and once I saw the look of these, I immediately loved them! They have quickly became a staple for me this fall! Very comfy and versatile.
6. Best Summer Ever – Har Mar Superstar
Music. I don’t get to listen to it often and I’m a year and a half late on this album but I managed to listen to it all at work and loved every song! Sometime this summer I had heard “How Did I Get Through the Day” on a Spotify playlist and loved it. Kept it on repeat for a while. Finally listened through the rest of the album and it’s all so good and fun and wonderful! Har Mar seems like quite the character too, I didn’t expect quite the ballad that How Did I was but it’s beautiful.
7. The Sopranos
Again, super late seeing as the finale was ten years ago. I don’t even know what made me want to start this series but after a week and a half, I’m almost through season two! I don’t know if I can even explain my favorite thing about it; it’s almost like watching a comedy but then something serious happens and you’re all of a sudden remembering it’s a drama, and a brutal one at that. It’s definitely been entertaining and I’m constantly hooked to the screen watching.
I think I’ll leave it at that! I’m not sure how often I can do favorites since I tend to not try new stuff that often! Let me know what you think of any of these too ＼(￣▽￣)/
